Role Description

As a Data Steward Delegate, you are part of a team responsible for supporting activities for the day-to-day compliance with the Enterprise Data Risk Management Policy within your domains/business units. You and your team are responsible for identifying and managing data risks, classifying data, maintaining data quality standards, performing root-cause analysis & Impact analysis, and ensuring timely remediation aligned with Enterprise Data Management Operating Policy, Data Concern Reporting & Management Standard, Issue Management Policy, and Operational Risk Event Policy. You will partner across various business units, technology teams, and product/platform teams to define and implement the data governance strategy, supervising and leading data quality, resolving data/platform issues, and driving consistency, usability, and governance of specific product data across the enterprise.

How will you make an impact in this role?

• Responsible for supporting the Data Steward in identifying data incidents, performing root-cause analysis of data incidents and driving remediation of audit and regulatory feedback.

• Develop advanced knowledge on the Enterprise Data risk management Policy and Data concern reporting and management standards and procedures in order to support the Data Steward in the execution of their role.

• Responsible for the proactive and reactive assessment, management and ongoing monitoring of data risks arising within the business unit.

• Assist in the identification of data risk, working with upstream data providers, downstream business partners, as well as technology teams.

• Support the Data Steward in in the establishment, maintenance, and testing of controls to manage data risk within their business unit.

• Support the Data Steward in identifying, logging, triaging, managing and reporting Data Concerns in alignment with the Data concern reporting and management lifecycle, including root-cause analysis and remediation planning.

• Assist in the assessment of data risks and maintenance of data controls, ensuring integration with the Risk and control self-assessment framework and internal control requirements.

• Facilitate linkage of Data Concerns to Issues (EIM) and Operational Risk Events (OREs), ensuring accurate reporting, governance alignment, and traceability.

• Partner with process owners to resolve data issues and support enhancements that improve data consistency, usability, and governance.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a quantitative area (e.g. Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics and Engineering) is preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data management, data governance, operational risk, or issue/incident management.

• Strong understanding of data lifecycle principles, data quality concepts, lineage, and metadata.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate between various technical and non-technical audiences

• Knowledge of credit risk strategy and/or payments industry is a plus
