Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant/DeputyManager for our e-commerce company. This role will manage sourcing of software, IT tools, licenses, subscriptions, IT infrastructure solutions, and professional services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, strategic sourcing capabilities, and an understanding of the e-commerce landscape.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: List down the key procurement requirements of the company, map the ongoing contract values, cost drivers and prioritize high value contracts for cost discovery to drive cost savings.
  • Managing the sourcing of software, IT tools, licenses, subscriptions, IT infrastructure solutions, Annual maintenance marketing agencies, and Professional service. Managing the acquisition of software, IT tools, licenses, subscriptions, IT infrastructure solutions, marketing agencies, and outsourcing service partners.
  • Supplier Management: Create processes for evaluation of suppliers (financial & technical). Identify, evaluate, and establish pool of suppliers/vendors to be reached out for companies’ procurement requirements.
  • Purchasing Oversight: Approve purchase orders and manage the procurement budget to ensure compliance with financial guidelines. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with various departments (IT, Marketing, Finance, Category teams) to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments on supplier contracts and agreements. Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyse procurement data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance and procurement effectiveness. Prepare reports for senior management.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies that could impact procurement processes. Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: bachelor’s degree in science, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of work experience with at least 3-4 years of experience in IT/E-Commerce procurement.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in supplier management software and procurement tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Personal Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, make informed decisions quickly, and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
