Admissions Counselor

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and parents on GIBMS programs, eligibility, fees, certifications, and career outcomes.
• Handle student inquiries through calls, emails, walk-ins, social media, and digital leads.
• Convert inquiries into successful enrollments by following structured counseling strategies.
• Maintain accurate student data and follow-ups using CRM systems.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
• Conduct admission presentations, webinars, and counseling sessions.
• Coordinate with marketing, academic, and operations teams to ensure smooth admissions.
• Assist in document verification, application processing, and admission confirmations.
• Participate in education fairs, school visits, college promotions, and outreach activities.
• Ensure high standards of student service and relationship management.
• Adhere strictly to GIBMS policies, ethical counseling practices, and compliance norms.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).
• 1–5 years of experience in admissions counseling, education sales, or academic consulting.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and preferably regional languages.
• Strong interpersonal, convincing, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and digital communication platforms.
• Target-oriented mindset with a student-first approach.

Preferred Skills

• Background in education, management institutes, or business schools.
• Experience with online and distance learning admissions.
• Ability to handle high call volumes and walk-in counseling efficiently.
• Strong follow-up, documentation, and reporting abilities.
• Professional ethics, confidentiality, and trust-building skills.
