Job Title: Accountant

Job Purpose

To manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, cost control, and financial reporting for a chemical manufacturing unit, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely closure of accounts.

Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance

• Maintain complete books of accounts including GL, AP, AR, and Bank Reconciliation
• Handle journal entries, provisions, accruals, and month-end closing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budget variance
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation

GST & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation)
• Handle input tax credit reconciliation and compliance
• Ensure timely compliance with TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax
• Coordinate with CA, auditors, and consultants for statutory audits
• Assist in Income Tax, GST audits, and assessments

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

• Maintain production-related accounting entries
• Track raw material consumption, WIP, and finished goods
• Costing of products and analysis of manufacturing expenses
• Inventory accounting and valuation as per standards
• Support management with cost control and MIS reports

Vendor & Payment Management

• Process vendor bills and ensure timely payments
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain statutory payment schedules

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare MIS reports for management review
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles & GST
• Experience in manufacturing/chemical industry accounting mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Tally / ERP systems
• Good working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good coordination and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in chemical / manufacturing / industrial setup
• Exposure to factory accounting and inventory management
• Handling multi-location or plant-level accounting

Reporting To

• Finance Manager / Accounts Head

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
