Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors and the CEO.
• Oversee budgeting and financial planning activities across all business verticals.
• Manage cash flow, financial forecasting, and liquidity management.
• Implement and maintain robust financial management and contract billing systems.
• Continuously update accounting policies and procedures to align with global best practices.
• Communicate critical financial information effectively to the CEO and leadership team.
• Transform the accounts department into a revenue-generating Financial Consulting profit center.
• Review and upgrade the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the accounting division.
• Strategize and lead the sales and marketing efforts for financial consulting services.
• Analyze financial data to forecast trends, prepare MIS reports weekly, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop and maintain financial models, including cash flows, P&L statements, and balance sheets.
• Monitor economic, industry, and corporate developments for investment advisory.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting laws, GST regulations, and taxation requirements.
• Utilize Tally for financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and deliver customized financial consulting solutions.

Qualifications:

• Post-graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; post-graduate qualifications or professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in financial management, reporting, auditing, and taxation.
• Strong command of accounting principles, economic practices, GST, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in accounting software (especially Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
•  Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative team mindset, a commitment to maintaining confidentiality, and the resilience to perform effectively under the pressures of a fast-paced startup environment.
