Accountant Assistant

Job Summary The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, managing invoices, and assisting with budget preparation. This position requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain and update accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and balance sheets. Process day-to-day transactions, including sales, expenses, payments, and receipts. Prepare and record financial entries related to invoicing, payments, and payroll. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Assist in preparing financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends. Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights to help improve financial performance. Accounts Payable & Receivable Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices. Handle accounts receivable, including issuing invoices to clients, following up on overdue payments, and maintaining accurate records of outstanding balances. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies. Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow Management Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of cash flow. Ensure sufficient cash flow for day-to-day operations by monitoring financial transactions and expenditures. Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts. Tax & Compliance Ensure timely filing of tax returns, including GST, VAT, TDS, and other relevant taxes. Assist in tax planning and liaise with tax authorities when necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies. Cost Control & Budgeting Work with the management team to prepare annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor spending and recommend cost-control measures. Analyze departmental expenses and help identify areas for cost savings. Audit & Internal Controls Assist in internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation and reports. Support the development and implementation of internal financial controls to safeguard company assets. Financial Data Analysis & Reporting Provide regular financial performance reports to management, including recommendations for cost efficiency and revenue growth. Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks. Qualifications & Skills: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). Professional certifications such as CA , CPA , are a plus. Experience : 0-1 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the media , film production , or creative industry . Proficient in accounting software such as Tally , QuickBooks , Zoho Books , or similar. Knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Skills : Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge is preferred). Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
