This role is located in Pune
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Geneva Product Subject Matter Expert (SME): Serve as the go-to expert for design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of the Advent Geneva product suite, ensuring its effective integration within the organization’s infrastructure.
- SQL & Data Warehouse Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines for mission-critical financial data. Architect and optimize Data Warehouse structures for performance and scalability.
- Custom Client Reporting: Build and enhance custom client reports leveraging Credit Data Warehouse, tailoring solutions to client-specific requirements and business objectives.
- Geneva Upgrades: Lead and execute Geneva upgrades, including environment analysis, impact assessment, regression testing, and post-upgrade validation to ensure seamless transitions.
- Data Quality & Integrity: Monitor and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across platforms, proactively identifying and resolving data anomalies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, enhance workflow efficiency, and drive process improvement initiatives across the back end stack.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation; mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and peers.
- Incident Management & Support: Provide Level 3 support for Geneva-related incidents, troubleshoot complex data and system issues, and resolve escalations in a timely manner.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure that all data processes and reporting adhere to internal policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, with advanced degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in back-end software development, with a strong focus on SQL and Data Warehouse technologies in a financial services context.
- Geneva Expertise: Demonstrated subject matter expertise with Advent Geneva, including prior hands-on experience with Geneva upgrades, configuration, and support.
- SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL with depth in query optimization, performance tuning, and complex data modeling.
- Data Warehouse: Extensive experience in Data Warehouse architecture, ETL design, and business intelligence reporting, ideally in enterprise-scale environments.
- Custom Reporting: Track record of developing custom client reports using Credit Data Warehouse or equivalent financial data platforms.
- Financial Data Experience: Solid understanding of investment management, credit products, and financial instruments as they relate to Geneva and reporting requirements.
- Hands-on Upgrades: Proven ability to plan and execute Geneva upgrades, migrations, and patching activities without disrupting business operations.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and application issues independently.
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation: High attention to detail in maintaining meticulous documentation and change logs.
- Certifications: Certifications related to Geneva, SQL, or data warehousing (e.g., Advent Geneva Certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
- Prior involvement in large-scale data migration projects.
