Job Description


Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Workforce Skill Development

  • Identify training needs across production, quality, maintenance, hygiene and packaging teams.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) based on skill gaps, audit findings and performance reviews.
  • Develop & deliver training modules (on-the-job training, classroom sessions, e-learning).
  • Cross-train workers to handle multiple processes (for workforce flexibility).

Food Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Train all employees on Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, GMP).
  • Conduct mandatory training on personal hygiene, sanitation, allergen management, and contamination control.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations through awareness programs.
  • Conduct refresher training before internal / external audits.

Operational Efficiency & Productivity

  • Train teams on Lean Manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, line balancing).
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training for consistent operations.
  • Monitor post-training impact reduced downtime, improved yields, lower wastage.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Conduct regular training on workplace safety, fire safety, PPE usage, and accident prevention.
  • Support EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) audits with training compliance records.
  • Promote awareness of sustainability practices (water/energy conservation, waste segregation).

Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Run induction & onboarding for new workers, ensuring faster integration.
  • Promote a learning culture recognition of best learners / trainers.
  • Reduce attrition by showing career growth through skill-based certifications.

Training Administration & Reporting

  • Develop annual Training Calendar aligned with production schedules.
  • Maintain training records (for audits, compliance & HR use).
  • Track KPI metrics: training hours per employee, % trained staff, post-training effectiveness.
  • Liaise with external trainers, certification bodies and government skill development agencies.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing training requirements.
  • Excellent facilitation & communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, 5S and Factory productivity practices.
  • Ability to design SOP-based training modules.
  • Strong documentation, reporting and analytical ability.
