Position Objective:

The Head of Skill Development will lead the design, planning, and execution of the organizations skill development initiatives to enhance employability, workforce capability, and industry readiness. The role involves strategic planning, program management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that all skill training activities are aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement the organizations

    Skill Development Strategy

    in alignment with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Identify emerging skill needs and design programs to bridge competency gaps across key sectors.
  • Lead innovation in skilling approaches through digital learning, blended training models, and industry-integrated programs.
  • Provide leadership to the skill development team, ensuring operational excellence and program impact.

2. Program Design & Implementation

  • Ensure effective planning, delivery, and evaluation of skill development programs across all locations.
  • Supervise curriculum development, trainer selection, infrastructure setup, and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor key metrics such as enrollment, completion, certification, and placement to assess program effectiveness.

3. Partnership Development

  • Build and sustain partnerships with

    industry bodies, corporate partners, training institutions, and NGOs

    for collaborative skilling initiatives.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain standards for training delivery, infrastructure, and trainer competency.
  • Ensure all programs adhere to organizational policies, funding requirements, and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct periodic audits and feedback sessions to assess training outcomes and learner satisfaction.

5. Financial & Administrative Management

  • Prepare annual budgets and ensure efficient utilization of funds across projects.
  • Oversee project proposals, costings, and financial reporting.
  • Track ROI and impact metrics for each skill development initiative.
  • Ensure transparency, accountability, and timely reporting to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic planning and program management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical and result-oriented mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Educational Qualification:

  • Postgraduate / MBA / MSW / PG Diploma

    in Management, Education, Development Studies, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum

    1015 years of experience

    in training & development, skill development, vocational training, education management.
  • Minimum

    5 years in a senior leadership role

    managing multi-location or large-scale training programs.
  • Proven experience in leading teams, building partnerships, and driving measurable outcomes.
