The Role

Trading Analyst

Wherever possible XTX seeks to gain accuracy, efficiency and a competitive advantage through complete process automation whether generating quotes, executing and settling trades, making risk calculations or generating key information reports used by senior management in business and organization-wide decision making.

The “Trading Desk” oversees real-time trading and related operations across all strategies, liaising with risk managers, senior management, researchers, software developers, systems engineers, external counterparties and customers to keep the business running 24/7. They closely monitor real world events and their impact on markets and if necessary, undertake the appropriate action to ensure the best outcome for XTX, our customers and counterparties.

Responsibilities

As a member of the desk your responsibilities may include some or all of (but not be limited to) the following:

• Supervise trading strategies and provide first level support to ensure smooth running of the business.
• Use trading metrics and data analysis methods in the decision-making process to improve existing strategies.
• Conduct preliminary research into new strategy ideas.
• Collaborate with global trading team to provide real-time feedback on model optimization.
• Assist with project work relating to expansion into new markets or onboarding of new direct clients.
• Team up with developers to improve automated tools for monitoring trading and alerting of internal and external anomalies.
• Liaise with brokers/exchanges, trading operations and back office on trade/position reconciliation issues, risk limits and margin requirements.
• Partner with direct counterparties of XTX to examine and optimize trading parameters to provide the best possible liquidity on an individualized basis.

Essential Attributes

• You will have 0-3 years working experience and will be able to demonstrate excellent trading intuition and knowledge of products relevant to XTX in India; FX, Equities, Futures, etc.
• Previous experience working on a highly automated trading desk.
• Proficiency in Python (we use Pandas regularly).
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

You will be expected to work full-time five days per week in our office located at Makers Maxity, 3 North Avenue, Mumbai, 400051. Occasional work from home possible.
