Job Description

Role Overview-

As a Trade Marketing Manager & Analyst, the candidate will be instrumental in driving the offtake of Glenmark Consumer Care brands within both general trade and modern retail trade channels through impactful trade marketing initiatives such as brand visibility, promoter led activations, contests, trade festivals etc. This dynamic role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking & leadership in trade marketing with hands-on execution, and data analysis to maximize brand visibility, sales, and profitability in these diverse retail landscapes


Roles and Responsibilities-


Promotional Strategies:

  • Devise and execute tailored promotional campaigns for both general trade and modern trade retail channels in collaboration with the MT trade marketing team and GT sales leadership
  • Lead brand activation planning & execution of brand visibility & merchandizing design
  • Leverage market trends and consumer insights to optimize promotional strategies for different retail segments.
  • Collaborate on joint marketing efforts to enhance brand presence and drive sales in diverse retail environments.

Channel-Specific Plannin

  • Develop and implement channel-specific trade marketing strategies, visibility campaigns ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Brand team, Modern trade KAMs & Zonal Heads in GT) to customize marketing plans for executing retail visibility in Modern trade and retail outlets
  • Will be responsible for all strategic work related to trade promotions, trade schemes, trade collaterals, trade events, Distributor, Retailer & Pharmacist conferences
  • Develop trade marketing & General trade collaterals and creatives for execution in coordination with the brand team and leadership team of the business
  • Handling merchandising strategies across GT, MT & Chain Pharmacy channel, like Shop Branding, POSMs, Indoor & outdoor visibilities
  • Maintain competitive benchmarking on Schemes & Modern trade visibility TOTs

Budget Management:

  • Efficiently manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring maximum impact across both general trade and modern trade.
  • Create a process to plan, execute and monitor Modern trade visibility with ROI calculation after the visibility execution in order to analyze efficacy.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize market research and sales data to identify growth opportunities and challenges within general trade and modern trade.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance the success of trade marketing programs.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, such as sales, product development, and marketing, to align trade marketing efforts with overarching business goals.
  • Provide analytical support for cross-functional projects and initiatives tailored for both general trade and modern trade retail environments.



Education


Work Experience

  • Proven experience of minimum 4 to 5 years in trade marketing, brand marketing with a focus on both general trade and modern trade retail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with general trade and modern trade retail dynamics and market trends.
