2 - 3 Years 1 Opening Chennai, Kochi, Pune, Trivandrum Role description Role Proficiency: Performs tests in strict compliance with very minimal instructions Outcomes: Construct systematic test cases from scenarios for applications based on customer user stories or requirements Execute systematic test cases from scenarios for applications based on customer user stories or requirements Ensure that new or revised components or systems perform to expectation Ensure meeting standards; including usability performance reliability or compatibility Document Test results and report defects Measures of Outcomes: Timely completion of all tasks Requirements / User story Coverage based on test cases/script # of test cases/script developed in comparison to the benchmarks # of test cases/script executed in comparison to the benchmarks # of valid defects Outputs Expected: Test Design Development Execution: Identify testable scenarios and create test scenario document Update RTM Obtain sign off on test scenarios Basis (3) above identify and create test cases and test data Smoke testing for system readiness check Execute test cases / scripts Identify log and track defects Retest Log in productivity data Requirements Management: Participate Seek Clarification Understand Review Domain relevance: Test feature / component with good understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client Estimate: Estimate time effort resource dependence for one's own work Manage knowledge: Consume Contribute Skill Examples: Ability to review user story / requirements to identify ambiguities Ability to design test cases / scripts as per user story / requirements Ability to apply techniques to design efficient test cases / script Ability to set up test data and execute tests Ability to identify anomalies and detail them Knowledge Examples: Knowledge of Methodologies Knowledge of Tools Knowledge of Types of testing Knowledge of Testing Processes Knowledge of Testing Standards Additional Comments: RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: • Develop test automation that exercises all aspects of application code for UI and database validations. • Execute automation and manual test scripts • Analyze the results of the automation and manual tests • Preparation/ review of test plans, test estimates, test strategy and test reports • Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met • Perform all testing (Functional, System integration, DB related) related activities and ensure capture/logging of defects in time • Identify, verify, report, and regress bugs; perform root cause analysis to identify issues. • Contribute to continuous improvement in processes and procedures • Collaborate with a globally distributed team • Give updates on daily progress and status of tasks assigned on time and also timely escalation of issues related to testing • Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED: • The individual should have a strong understanding of agile processes and the related QA lifecycle and automation methodology. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to co-ordinate efficiently with client, products, offshore & onshore teams and bridge the communication gaps • Technical background and an understanding of the web applications & eco-system • Expertise practical knowledge of automated testing tool Selenium with Java and TestNG • Strong passion for quality, high level of attention to detail, and the proven ability to solve complex technical challenges. • Extensive experience applying Quality Engineering techniques across the SDLC to improve the quality of systems and enable the ability to deliver quality at speed • Good knowledge of manual testing process, STLC, SDLC, Agile Process • Good knowledge of SQL/Oracle DB • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking, troubleshooting and decision-making skills • Good to have Knowledge and experience on US Health care domain. In-depth knowledge on Payer ecosystem and associated modules is necessary. • Hands on experience in Test design techniques • Hands on experience in defect Management • Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely, and present ideas, reports facts and other information, and respond to questions as appropriate. • Ability to be innovative, creative, and think outside of the box when presented with roadblocks. • Ability to interact with others to build consensus and get decisions implemented. • Ability to make competent, independent decisions.
