Test Automation Lead

end-to-end coverage of business processes

System Integration Testing (SIT), Volume/Performance Testing (VPT), and branch/DC rollouts

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Strategy & Framework
• Define and implement the overall automation and performance testing strategy for the WMS program.
• Select automation tools, establish frameworks, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
• Standardize test automation practices to maximize script reusability and maintainability.
• Automation Development & Execution
• Lead the design and development of end-to-end automation scripts covering order lifecycle flows (SAP order creation → WMS execution → SAP financial posting).
• Build reusable regression packs that validate inbound, outbound, inventory, parcel manifesting, routing, and automation system integrations.
• Ensure automation scripts can be executed for SIT, regression, performance, and branch rollout validations.
• Performance Testing Leadership
• Take ownership of defining performance testing scenarios (throughput, volume, stress testing).
• Develop and execute performance test scripts to validate system stability under peak loads.
• Provide reporting and recommendations on scalability, response times, and system readiness for DC rollouts.
• Team Enablement & Execution Support
• Train QA teams and external vendors on using the automation framework and executing scripts.
• Enable teams to independently run automation packs for SIT, VPT, regression, and branch cutovers.
• Ensure testing support is consistent across pilot and staggered rollout sites.
• Collaboration & Coordination
• Partner with WMS, SAP, TMS, and integration teams to validate end-to-end test scenarios.
• Coordinate with warehouse automation vendors (conveyors, robotics, parcel systems, voice picking) for integrated test coverage.
• Act as the single point of contact for automation testing deliverables with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Governance & Quality Assurance
• Ensure alignment with enterprise QA, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide dashboards and metrics for automation coverage, performance testing results, and defect closure.
• Continuously improve automation assets to support program-wide regression and hypercare.
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience:
• 10+ years of QA/Testing experience, with at least 4+ years in test automation roles.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium, Tosca, UFT, TestComplete, Cypress, or equivalent).
• Proven experience building end-to-end test scripts across enterprise systems (SAP ↔ WMS ↔ TMS).
• Strong expertise in performance/volume testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or equivalent).
• Skills:
• Strong scripting/programming experience (Java, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent).
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills to engage technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with agile/DevOps QA methodologies.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale WMS modernization or ERP transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of financial posting flows in SAP tied to WMS transactions.
• Exposure to TMS, LMS, BI, and automation system integration testing.
• Experience managing offshore/nearshore QA automation vendors.
• Background in designing automated regression suites for staggered multi-DC rollouts.
