Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with telecom infrastructure, VoIP technologies, and open-source telephony platforms. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust telecom solutions that power our calling platform.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Development

• Design, deploy, and maintain Asterisk-based telephony systems and FreePBX configurations
• Develop and optimize SIP trunking solutions for enterprise-grade voice communications
• Implement WebRTC solutions for browser-based calling capabilities
• Configure and troubleshoot VoIP protocols including SIP, RTP, and related technologies
• Build and maintain telecom APIs for seamless integration with third-party systems

System Operations

• Monitor and optimize call quality, latency, and system performance
• Implement redundancy and failover mechanisms for high availability
• Troubleshoot complex telecom infrastructure issues and provide rapid resolution
• Perform capacity planning and scaling of telecom resources
• Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and industry standards

Integration & Support

• Integrate telephony solutions with CRM platforms and business applications
• Collaborate with development teams to implement calling features and APIs
• Provide technical support for enterprise clients during implementation
• Document system architectures, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical system maintenance

Required Qualifications

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 4 years

  of hands-on experience in telecom/VoIP engineering

• Proven expertise

  with Asterisk PBX system configuration and administration

• Strong experience

  with FreePBX setup, customization, and maintenance

• Deep understanding

  of SIP protocol, call flows, and troubleshooting

• Hands-on experience

  with VoIP technologies and call routing

• Practical knowledge

  of WebRTC implementation and browser-based communications

• Experience

  with RTP/RTCP protocols and media handling

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration
• Experience with SIP trunking providers and carrier integrations
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, NAT traversal)
• Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Understanding of telecom codecs (G.711, G.729, etc.)

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud telephony platforms (Twilio,CallHippo Etc.,)
• Knowledge of IVR systems and call flow design
• Familiarity with CDR analysis and call analytics
• Experience with API development and integration
• Understanding of the telecom Infrastructure
• Knowledge of security best practices in VoIP environments
