Job Title: Counselor

Department: Admissions

Location: Gurugram,Sec 46,Huda Colony

Job Type: Full-Time


Position Summary:

The Counselor is responsible for managing the recruitment and admissions process, helping prospective students navigate through application procedures, and promoting the institution's academic programs. This role requires one year of experience into sales, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to guide students and families, and the ability to represent the institution at recruitment events.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment & Outreach*:

- Represent the institution at high school visits, college fairs, and recruitment events to promote programs and engage with prospective students.

- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, and community partners.

- Engage with prospective students via phone, email, and social media to answer questions and provide information.


Admissions Process Management:

- Review and evaluate applications, including academic records, essays, and test scores, to determine eligibility for admission.

- Advise students on application requirements, deadlines, and next steps in the admissions process.

- Provide guidance regarding financial aid, scholarships, and campus life.


Counseling & Guidance:

- Offer one-on-one consultations with prospective students and their families to help them choose programs and understand academic opportunities.

- Answer inquiries regarding programs, admissions procedures, and eligibility criteria.

- Provide a positive and supportive experience for students, helping them make informed decisions about their academic future Event Coordination:

- Organize and participate in campus tours, open houses, and other admissions events.

- Assist in virtual and in-person information sessions for prospective students and their families.

- Attend and represent the institution at recruitment and college fairs.


Data Management & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions and application statuses.

- Track recruitment activities and generate reports on application trends, conversions, and outreach efforts.

- Assist in evaluating and refining recruitment strategies.


Qualifications:


Education:

- Bachelor’s degree required.


Experience:

-One year of experience into sales

- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, customer service, or education is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong knowledge of the school or college admissions process is a plus.


Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, Slate, etc.) is preferred.

- Ability to meet targets
