About This Role

At BlowTrumpet Solutions, we’re building a bootstrapped, ethics-driven, performance-first Ad-Tech ecosystem — from immersive CPX ad formats to gamified publisher platforms and streaming monetization tools.

Technical Writer

Your mission:

  • Enable product teams

    with precise, structured technical documentation.
  • Engage stakeholders

    through crisp, proof-driven communication.
  • Guide development workflows

    across multiple SaaS solutions in our ad-tech ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

Documentation & Requirements

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to gather and document technical requirements for multiple ad-tech SaaS products.
  • Write

    Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)

    , user flows, API documentation, integration guides, and feature descriptions.
  • Ensure consistency in terminology, format, and version control across all documents.

Product & Platform Messaging

  • Craft concise

    error messages, success prompts, onboarding texts, and tooltips

    that are both technically correct and user-friendly.
  • Work with UI/UX teams to embed

    brand voice

    into in-app microcopy without sacrificing clarity.
  • Support

    website content creation

    for product pages, feature highlights, and FAQs.

Workflow & Process Enablement

  • Develop and maintain a

    documentation workflow

    that supports the software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from concept to deployment.
  • Establish templates, style guides, and documentation standards to ensure scalability across multiple product verticals.
  • Introduce

    prompt engineering techniques

    (without over-relying on AI) to assist in generating structured content, refining requirements, and brainstorming creative ad-tech features.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing to translate complex technical features into

    advertiser- and publisher-friendly content

    .
  • Partner with campaign managers to produce

    how-to guides

    for ad creation, targeting, and analytics dashboards.
  • Liaise with Care & Impact teams to ensure ethical and user-friendly communication in all public-facing documents.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2–5 years

    of professional technical writing experience in SaaS, ad-tech, or software development environments.
  • Exceptional command of

    English, grammar, and tone adaptation

    — able to switch between formal documentation and creative ad copy.
  • Proven ability to write

    clear, structured, and accurate requirement documents

    and process workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with

    SDLC documentation practices

    .
  • Understanding of

    digital advertising terminology

    , including CPX, CPM, CPC, programmatic buying, and engagement metrics.
  • Knowledge of

    prompt engineering principles

    for effective collaboration with AI tools (while maintaining human-authored quality control).
  • Comfort with

    content management tools

    , documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, Notion), and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Furnish strong references where needed, and cite examples of work done attributable to your skills and experience.
