Job Description

1. Communicate with vessels, owners, workshops, suppliers, and makers to ensure smooth operations, prompt resolutions, and compliance with technical standards. 2. Review and monitor the Noon Report, Work Done Report, and vessel movements daily to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies. 3. Oversee and ensure the proper implementation of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) onboard vessels, reviewing maintenance activities and documentation. 4. Regularly assess and support the resolution of defects, ensuring effective defect management and minimizing operational downtime. 5. Develop and implement strategies to minimize vessel breakdowns, focusing on proactive maintenance and efficient operations. 6. Approve and evaluate spare parts requisitions, ensuring they align with technical requirements, budget constraints, and owner approvals. 7. Plan and manage the timely and cost-effective supply of bunkers, bulk lubricants, fresh water (FW), gases, and stores, ensuring vessels’ needs are met without delays. 8. Provide technical troubleshooting support by collaborating with equipment makers and manufacturers to resolve onboard technical issues promptly. 9. Review month-end technical reports and financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards. 10. Manage critical spares inventory, ensuring the timely procurement and approval of spare parts, in collaboration with owners. 11. Offer technical support during vessel takeover, audits, and dry docking, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. 12. Plan and oversee the coordination of vessel port stays, ensuring the efficient connection of spares and supplies while minimizing operational downtime. 13. Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) software, ensuring it aligns with operational and regulatory needs. 14. Revise and update Safety Management System (SMS) forms, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Assist company management with technical and operational support as required, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
