Job opening for Technical Superintendents - Tankers & Bulk carriers

Education:

Relevant Experience:

• 10-12 years in the shipping industry on large sea-going vessels with an international trading experience and a minimum of 2 years sailing experience as a Chief Engineer.
• Prefer at least 2 years of shore experience as Superintendent

1. Oversee day to day technical operations and ensure vessel seaworthiness
2. Track vessel reports promptly. Analyse performance/defects. Ensure prompt & effective closures incl. observations raised during internal/external audits n inspections.
3. Monitor PMS compliance and authenticity. Propose database & system improvements.
4. Prepare annual OPEX budgets. Control operating costs including fuel, lubes, consumables etc.
5. Maintain validity of all certification & documentation. Liaise with classification societies & Flag authorities as necessary
6. Prepare vessels for oil major vetting/Rightship inspections and ensure readiness
7. Monitor speed/cons performance, implement efficiency improvements
8. Ensure compliance with Company IMS, with international regulations incl. ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS etc and all flag requirements
9. Coordinate procurement of spares and critical equipment with most cost-effective options
10. Plan and supervise dry-docking, repairs, technical projects including upgrades/retrofits and major maintenance. Prepare specifications, budgets, and timelines. Ensure quality control during repairs and maintain cost control.
11. Support onboard crew with technical guidance and training incl. new equipments.
12. Conduct periodic physical inspection of vessel for assessment of condition/crew/IMS
13. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Propose improvement in procedures n Manuals.
14. Demonstrate strong understanding of TMSA & Right ship requirements and implementation (Tankers & Bulkers resp.)
15. Experience of having worked on cranes and grabs (for bulk carriers)
16. Work experience on ME engines will be preferred
17. Promote a strong safety culture on board and in technical operations.
18. Ensure compliance with environmental protection measures and fuel efficiency initiatives.
19. Investigate incidents, accidents, or machinery failures, and implement corrective actions.
