Technical Superintendent

• Manage planned maintenance systems, repairs, and spare usage across assigned vessels.
• Report damages or defects impacting vessel classification and liaise with Class authorities.
• Prepare and support PSC, Flag, Oil Major, and other inspections.
• Oversee vessel budgets, ensuring cost control and reporting deviations to the Fleet Manager.
• Act as the main point of contact for Clients regarding day-to-day vessel operations.
• Plan and supervise dry-docking, repairs, modifications, and conversions.
• Monitor vessel KPIs (speed, fuel consumption, etc.) and implement corrective measures.
• Conduct ship visits and voyage assessments to evaluate vessel condition and safety practices.
• Collaborate with risk management teams, report incidents, and handle insurance claims.
• Lead officer selection, briefings, and performance appraisals to strengthen safety culture.

Essential:

✔ Recognized Engineering or Naval Architecture qualification / relevant seagoing experience

✔ Shipping industry background

✔ Strong English communication skills (written & verbal)

✔ Solid planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

🌍 Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent

⚙️ Membership in IMarEST or equivalent professional body

💼 Experience in budget administration and financial reporting
