This position will be available at the Mumbai, India and report directly to the Regional Technology Manager .
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Technical Support: Providing technical support for various applications and product lines with a focus on Teflon™ polymers and coatings, Krytox™ lubricants and Viton™ fluoroelastomers. Technical support includes assistance for product qualification, application support, product selection, failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Customer Interaction: Managing customer interactions, including technical discussions, online support, coordinating and communication with customer’s operations team and addressing customer queries.
- Collaboration: Support new product and application developments with both the regional and global team. Contribute to defining and quantifying the value of new offerings in meeting market needs and coordinate regional competitive offering analysis and translate this knowledge into a competitive advantage.
- Training: Conducting distributor refresh training, supporting new sales personnel and customers with technical knowledge.
- Audits and Compliance: Conducting audits at customers and managing Indian customs queries during clearance.
The Following Is Required For This Role
- Education: Master/Bachelor in polymer science, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Flexibility: Ability to work on-site in the offices in Mumbai, India and a willingness to travel 50% of time in the Asia Pacific region.
- Technical Experience: Strong technical knowledge in polymer processing and background in new energy, semiconductor, electronics, or chemical industry.
- Customer Focus: Experience in working with distributors and handling customer queries and provide effective solutions.
- Drive to Innovate: A passion for learning and applying innovative technologies, materials, and methods.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Confidence to tackle challenges with creativity and focus.
The Following Is Preferred For This Role
- Knowledge in application of fluorinated polymers, coatings, lubricants, and elastomers.
