Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a modern data‑warehouse initiative, working closely with data engineers, BI developers, architects, and business stakeholders. This role requires strong technical understanding of data platforms, excellent project execution skills, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive planning, execution, and delivery of the data‑warehouse project across multiple workstreams.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and change control processes.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross‑team coordination (Agile or hybrid environments).
• Collaborate with data architects to define data‑warehouse architecture, data models, and integration patterns.
• Understand ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion frameworks, and cloud data‑platform components.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security requirements are embedded into the solution.
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment with business and architectural standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between business teams, engineering teams, and leadership.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
• Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
• Oversee development, testing, deployment, and validation of data‑warehouse components.
• Ensure timely delivery of data models, ETL pipelines, dashboards, and documentation.
• Coordinate UAT, data validation cycles, and production rollout.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and delivery practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of data‑warehouse concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, fact/dimension modeling).
• Familiarity with SQL, ETL/ELT tools, and data‑integration frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data‑quality frameworks.
• Ability to read and discuss technical designs, data models, and pipeline architecture.
• 5–10 years of experience managing technical or data‑focused projects.
• Strong command of Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven track record delivering complex data or analytics projects.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
• Experience working with enterprise‑scale data‑warehouse modernization or cloud migration.
• Background in data engineering, BI development, or software engineering.
• Experience with data‑visualization tools Power BI
