Technical Project Manager

Job Title: Technical Project Manager – Data Science (Retail Grocery Domain) Location: Navi Mumbai, Job Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Project Manager to lead a high-impact data science engagement for a leading retail grocery client. This role is based onsite at the customer’s location and will be responsible for managing the delivery of advanced analytics use cases that directly influence business decisions in areas such as demand forecasting, customer lifetime value (CLTV), and pricing optimization. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of data science use cases in the retail grocery domain: Demand Forecasting to optimize inventory and reduce stockouts. Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) modeling to enhance loyalty and retention strategies. Pricing Optimization to balance competitiveness and profitability. Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables. Drive status reporting and governance updates as per mutually agreed cadence with the customer. Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Proactively identify risks, manage dependencies, and resolve issues to keep the project on track. Ensure that all project activities align with the customer’s strategic objectives in the retail grocery space. Technical Expectations: Strong understanding of data science and data engineering workflows , especially in the context of retail analytics. Hands-on exposure or working knowledge of Databricks for data processing, model development, and deployment. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and actionable insights. Required Skills & Experience: Total Experience 8+ years , 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in data science or analytics projects . Prior experience managing customer-facing projects onsite , preferably in the retail or grocery sector . Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with a focus on delivery excellence. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with retail grocery datasets such as POS, loyalty, promotions, and supply chain data. Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their integration with Databricks. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification. Show more Show less
