As a Talent Scout, you will be the engine of our recruitment process, specialising in unearthing and engaging top-tier technical talent across all levels. You will be responsible for building robust talent pipelines for roles ranging from junior engineers to senior architects, crafting compelling outreach, and creating an exceptional first impression for every candidate. You'll partner closely with our Talent Acquisition team to understand complex technical requirements and develop creative, multi-platform sourcing strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-Channel Strategic Sourcing

    : Proactively identify and engage passive technical candidates across all seniority levels. Go beyond standard methods by leveraging advanced sourcing techniques on platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and other niche technology communities.
  • Systematic Talent Pipelining

    : Design, build, and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future technical roles. Implement processes to ensure a continuous flow of talent for strategic and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Technical Candidate Engagement:

    Act as the first point of contact, delivering a compelling and technically informed pitch. Ensure a seamless and positive initial experience that sets the stage for the entire hiring journey.
  • ATS & Systems Management

    : Meticulously manage candidate data within our Application Tracking System (ATS). Champion data hygiene, track source effectiveness, and utilise the system to drive an efficient recruitment process
  • Candidate Experience

    : Champion an outstanding candidate experience from the very first touchpoint, making it a top priority and key performance indicator
  • Data-Driven Sourcing Process

    : Track, analyse, and report on key sourcing metrics (e.g., response rates, conversion rates, pipeline health). Use this data to refine and improve sourcing strategies and processes continuously
  • LinkedIn & Brand Expertise

    : Leverage LinkedIn not just for sourcing, but for building your professional brand and enhancing Straatix’s presence as an employer of choice within the tech ecosystems



Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background:

  • Preferred:

    Computer Science Engineering background.
  • Alternative:

    BBA with a specialisation in HR or a related field, coupled with a strong, demonstrable interest in technology and sourcing
  • Technical Sourcing Expertise

    : A demonstrated passion for the art and science of finding and engaging technical talent. Experience with sourcing for various tech stacks (e.g., Frontend, Backend, DevOps, Data Science) is a major plus
  • Proficiency with Tools & Systems

  • Sourcing Tools

    : Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and a strong ability to conduct complex Boolean searches. Proven ability to source talent from platforms like GitHub and Stack Overflow
  • Deep familiarity and hands-on experience with modern ATS/CRM platforms (e.g., Lever, Greenhouse, Ashby)
  • Strong Communication Skills

    : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to craft personalised, engaging outreach messages and interact professionally
  • Empathy and Professionalism:

    The ability to build rapport and create a positive, comfortable experience for candidates at all levels
  • Process-Oriented Mindset

    : A methodical and organised approach to building and managing scalable sourcing processes and handling a high volume of candidate data.
  • Results-Driven:

    A proactive and persistent approach to meeting sourcing targets and building high-quality, diverse talent pipelines.
