Job Description

Role Summary

The Tableau Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analytics to support business decisions. The role requires strong SQL skills, hands-on Tableau expertise, and the ability to collect, prepare, analyse, and interpret complex datasets. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define KPIs, maintain data accuracy, and improve BI processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Development & Visualization

Design interactive Tableau dashboards using visualization best practices.
Develop mobile-friendly dashboards using Tableau Mobile.
Create wireframes and prototypes focusing on user experience.
Continuously optimize dashboards for performance and usability.

Data Analysis & SQL Expertise

Write, test, and optimize SQL queries for large datasets.
Conduct trend, variance, and statistical analysis to extract insights.
Prepare and model data required for reporting and KPIs.

Data Management & Preparation

Collect, refine, clean, normalize, and validate data from multiple sources.
Maintain data accuracy across reports and dashboards.
Populate data using Excel and ensure consistency in reporting.

Business Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and KPIs.
Deliver accurate and timely dashboards and reports.
Document processes, methodologies, and dashboard usage instructions.

Security, Access & Administration

Set up user filters, data permissions, and access roles.
Ensure data privacy and implement access control policies.
Manage Tableau implementation, performance, and version updates.

Process Improvement & Automation

Identify opportunities for automation across reporting workflows.
Enhance dashboard layout, data pipelines, and BI frameworks.
Monitor dashboard usage and performance; implement improvements.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have Skills

3–4 years of hands-on Tableau development experience.
Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills.
Excellent understanding of dashboards, visualization, and reporting.
Experience analysing large datasets and deriving insights.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience working in manufacturing, exports, or analytics-heavy environments.
Knowledge of statistical methods and BI best practices.
