Job Title: Inventory Executive Location : Bkc, Mumbai Department : Inventory / Operations Reports To : Inventory Manager / Operations Head Industry : Gems & Jewellery Lab-Grown Diamonds Employment Type : Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Executive to manage and control inventory operations for our lab-grown diamond division. The ideal candidate will have experience in the gems and jewelry industry, with a strong understanding of diamond grading, tracking, stock management, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management : Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing lab-grown diamond stock, ensuring real-time updates in inventory management systems (ERP or manual). Stock Audits : Conduct regular physical stock checks, reconciliation, and variance analysis to ensure inventory accuracy and security. Quality Verification : Coordinate with the QC team to ensure all incoming and outgoing diamonds meet quality standards, including grading, carat weight, and certification details. Barcode & Tagging : Generate and manage barcodes, tagging, and labeling of stones and jewelry items for easy tracking and identification. Data Entry & Reporting : Update inventory software with accurate details, including stone parameters (cut, color, clarity, carat), certification numbers, and movement history. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. Logistics Coordination : Support inward and outward logistics of inventory between departments (production, sales, dispatch) and external parties (vendors, clients, showrooms). Documentation : Maintain proper documentation for inventory transactions, including delivery challans, gate passes, transfer notes, and certificates. Loss Prevention : Monitor and report any discrepancies or irregularities in stock; escalate issues to the management promptly. Support Sales & Dispatch : Collaborate with sales and dispatch teams for timely order fulfillment, ensuring the right stones are picked, packed, and delivered. Compliance : Ensure adherence to internal controls, inventory SOPs, and industry best practices. Requirements Bachelors degree in commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. Min 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the gems & jewellery industry. Familiarity with lab-grown diamonds and basic knowledge of 4Cs (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat). Proficiency in MS Excel, inventory software, and ERP systems. Strong attention to detail, numeric accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to handle high-value inventory with integrity and responsibility. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with jewellery showrooms, diamond trading companies, or manufacturing units. Knowledge of diamond certification (IGI, GIA, etc.) and product lifecycle. Prior experience with RFID/barcoding systems.
