Job Purpose

The incumbent is accountable for the following activities:

  • Production scheduling and boosting “Internal delivery performance”.
  • To monitor, maintain and ensure complete data accuracy of all critical data related fields in systems.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are mainly:

  • Ensuring maintenance of an accurate Open Order Book so systems can be used to identify when product shipments are scheduled to occur.
  • Ensuring execution of a Fixed Frequency Repeating Schedule (FFRS) methodology to package finished goods.
  • Ensuring execution of a level-loaded schedule to supply the FFRS with any intermediates required.
  • Weekly tracking of Conformance to plan (CTP) performance and ensuring measurement of CTP for all Production work centers/CMOs.
  • Ensuring maintenance of an up-to-date capacity definition for select CMOs on demonstrated output and CTP.
  • Ensuring execution of a pre-defined Performance Management process to ensure order fulfillment, whilst maintaining strict adherence to the FFRS methodology and intent.
  • Accommodate any non-standard activities (i.e.NPI, artwork change) into the production schedule whilst continually maintaining adherence to the FFRS methodology.
  • Taking necessary steps to ensure MERPS hygiene is upheld and communicate the same to CMOs.
  • Harmony related activities coupled with match up activities for artwork revision and ensure minimum write off.
  • Support the team in additional tasks when required (Credit Note Governance, MM Audit Coordinator, Training to CMOs and Documentation Coordinator).

Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required

Educational Background

Minimum Level of Education - Graduate / Post Graduate qualification in Materials Mgt. / MBA

Minimum Level of Job- Related Experience required

  • Preferably 5-6 years of experience in production scheduling in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Special Knowledge: Should have knowledge of Materials & Production Planning /Scheduling and Supply chain processes.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and EHS regulations, cGMP & GDP requirements.
  • Good understanding of MSDS/HAS, Material characteristics/properties and associated hazard, compatibility.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate teams to enable teams for excelling their performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels and across functions.

Other Job-Related Skills/Background

To support the ES Scheduling function and to carry out all the responsibilities mentioned under the given job role.

  • Demonstrated sound decision-making process; based on facts & data, and application of risk Management principles.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, collaborative team member and team leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-tasking effectively.
  • Ability to excel in execution.
