Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain HeadLocation: GwaliorDepartment: Supply ChainFunctional Area: Sourcing

Job Purpose

Lead and execute end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and drive continuous improvement. Manage supplier relationships to foster strong partnerships, negotiate favorable terms, and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier relationship management & contract management
  • End-to-end supply chain oversight and execution
  • Leading supply chain and team development
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Right selection of suppliers, overseeing deliveries and execution
  • Customer focus
  • Accurate data for forecasting, planning, and optimizing operations
  • End-to-end integration of the supply chain
  • Continuous improvement of processes and systems
  • Integrity, Honesty & Ethical: Commitment to ethical practices and ensuring compliance with regulations (Proficiency Level 3)
  • Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers (Proficiency Level 3)
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data to make informed decisions (Proficiency Level 2)
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Proficiency Level 3)
  • Relationship Management: Skill in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal teams (Proficiency Level 3)
  • Vendor base, defense eco-systems
  • Material, fabrication, machining, casting, forging, investment casting
  • Precision machining and modern manufacturing techniques
  • Good estimation capabilities

Skills

  • Must: B.E. (Mechanical) from a reputed engineering college
  • Desirable: Supply Chain Diploma or MBA
  • 10-12 years of experience in earth-moving machinery, heavy industry, aerospace & defense, automobile
  • Desirable: Minimum 3 years in the supply chain of defense business
