Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Management (SCM) Role Overview: The Supply Chain Management Trainee will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and vendor coordination. This role provides hands-on exposure to supply chain operations, process improvement initiatives, and strategy execution, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Support: Assist in sourcing and evaluating vendors. Prepare purchase orders and track their status. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and help maintain optimal stock levels. Support inventory reconciliation and data accuracy. Assist in implementing systems to reduce excess inventory and shortages. Logistics Coordination: Track shipments and ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with transportation providers for smooth operations. Address logistical issues and resolve delays. Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain supply chain databases and update records. Prepare performance reports and identify areas for improvement. Support the creation of metrics to monitor supply chain efficiency. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in supply chain processes and propose solutions. Participate in lean management and process optimization initiatives. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (production, quality, finance, etc.) to align supply chain operations. Communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Basic understanding of supply chain principles and processes. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Key Competencies: Attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Team collaboration and interpersonal skills. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
