Strategy Manager

Key Job Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities shall be divided among the following key verticals as follows:

Strategic Planning

• Contribute to building the short, medium and long-term strategy for Azure Power in alignment with the vision of firm stakeholders, executive management and investors adapting to the competitive landscape.
• Contribute to conducting comprehensive research and analysis to build the structure of informed decision-making processes, providing actionable insights to the senior executive team of Azure.
• Help to prioritize various tasks, evaluating opportunities against impact and determining importance, fitment and order of execution.
• Collaborate and execute corporate strategic initiatives aligned with Azure Power's renewable energy goals, ensuring measurable impact.
• Contribute to establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and regularly assess the effectiveness of strategic plans.
• Continuously track various strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, in collaboration with senior leadership and executives.

Strategic Growth Leadership

• Contribute strategically to unlock growth opportunities for Azure Power, conducting market analyses and collaborating with the executive team to identify new business avenues.
• Contribute to the development of deep understanding of the utility market ecosystem and marketing strategies. Evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion strategies to drive sustainable growth.
• Contribute to development of a comprehensive growth strategy, outlining clear goals, milestones, and metrics to measure success.

Investment Evaluation

• Pre-evaluate capex investment proposals for new projects as well as operational projects
• Pre-evaluate capex / opex for new initiatives (organization wide)

Desired Experience and Competencies:

1. B. Tech / Graduation in commerce + Masters or CA, preferably from premium institute
2. 8-12 years of experience (if from premium institute), else 12-16 years
3. Expert in strategic consulting and financial modelling
4. Strong market research skills with excellent report and proposal writing skills
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and creativity in pictorial representation of data and preparing decks for management
6. Specialized knowledge in sectors such as Power and Utility, including Renewables will be a key advantage
