Job Summary
The
Store Manager
is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the
jewellery store
, ensuring excellent customer service, maximizing sales, managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining the brand’s reputation. This role requires strong leadership, sales skills, and a deep understanding of jewellery products and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective team management and customer engagement.
- Build long-term relationships with customers by providing personalized service and expert jewellery knowledge.
- Handle high-value transactions with integrity and professionalism.
Team Management
- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
- Motivate the team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high store standards.
Store Operations
- Oversee day-to-day store activities including opening/closing procedures.
- Maintain store cleanliness, security, and display standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and prevent losses.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the head office for new collections and replenishment.
- Ensure jewellery displays are attractive, updated, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Finance & Reporting
- Manage cash flow, billing, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyse sales reports, and suggest strategies for improvement.
- Control store expenses and optimize operational efficiency.
Marketing & Promotion
- Implement in-store promotions, events, and festive campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance customer footfall and sales.
- Maintain strong local market knowledge to attract potential customers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail management, preferably in luxury or jewellery sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, and jewellery trends (preferred).
- Proficiency in POS systems, MS Office.
