Responsible for precise materials handling, timely deliveries, and optimal resource management with the objective of ensuring seamless store operations, while maintaining compliance with safety and statutory regulations SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE List of responsibilities attached to the role are documented below. It should capture only the key responsibilities of the role Responsibilities Policies, Processes & Procedures Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory & warehouse management, ensuring timely and periodic compliance with the prescribed protocols. Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures Store/ Inventory Management & Operations Carry out functions of the receipt division, ensuring meticulous reception of materials and validate incoming receipts against corresponding consignments. Supervise the unloading procedure for consignments, ensuring adherence to established safety and efficiency protocols. Conduct thorough physical inspections of received materials, verifying alignment with consignment documentation and facilitate collaborative inspections with requisitioning users upon receipt of materials. Exercise seamless and systematic transfer of materials to permanent storage locations, adhering safety and security protocols. Manage the issuance and receipt of materials, ensuring timely availability of the right materials according to plant requirements for the respective categories. Implement stringent measures to ensure secure and organized storage of materials within designated areas Precisely label products and meticulously document delivery processes, ensuring compliance with all necessary procedures Assist Stores Manager for MIS reports / dashboard for inventory modelling, analysis, etc. with clear classification on various types of materials viz. insurance, stock controlled, procure to consume, slow and fast moving etc. Assist Stores Manager in liquidation of surplus and obsolete materials. Assist scrap management related activities as per SOP's. Carryout physical verification & preservation of materials as per SOP's. Establish and co-ordinate good inter-departmental relationship with customer orientation mindset. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to materials management, ensuring the store's operations are in accordance with legal standards & departmental goals. Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire (HSEF) guidelines, as well as FIFO/FEFO methodology for materials handling. Participate in management audit reviews concerning on-site materials, addressing any identified issues and implementing corrective actions. People Management Provide clear instructions and guidance to contract workers, ensuring their effective contribution to seamless store activities. Contribute insights for operational-level manpower planning, facilitating the smooth execution of store operations with utmost efficiency Provide adept insight and guidance to contract labour and workforce engaged in pivotal store operations Ensure all workers in the section undergo thorough trainings related to store operations processes and safety compliances SECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICS Metrics that are used to evaluate the success / performance of the role; specific targets do not need to be included as those would change from Y-o-Y % daily demand fulfilment Amount of volumes handled On-time delivery rate Adherence to Safety compliances Zero Safety Incidents SECTION V: OPERATING NETWORK Key interactions which are essential to execute the role. This will include both internal and external stakeholders Key Interactions Internal: Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Material, Warehouse, Quality, P&C, Purchase, Finance, IDT External: Vendors, Customers, Transporters SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES Minimum qualification, technical competencies and capabilities which are essential to execute the role. It may not be a reflection of job holder's own qualification and competencies Education Qualifications: Diploma of Engineering or Technology (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) Experience (Must Have / Good to Have): 2 - 9 years of experience. Experience of supply chain management in similar plant operations environment; Experience in relevant E&M direct field experience (preferably in rotary of petrochemical/ refinery) and in functions like engineering, maintenance, planning, material, automation, material handling, systems, procurement and contracts, etc. FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Functional / Behavioural competencies required to execute the role Familiarity with Petrochemical/ refinery Equipment's Understanding of Standard Engineering & Maintenances Practices and Reliability Exposure to Equipment Spares, Bulk Materials, etc. Ability to handle store equipments(cranes, fork lifts etc.) Knowledge of Statutory Regulations and Safety Hazards Planning and decision making Experience of handling contract workers SECTION VII: CAREER MOVEMENTS An outline of roles leading up to and out of the current role to contextualize career movement Feeder Roles Possible Next Role Movement: Store Manager Show more Show less
