Job Purpose/ Summary

Support Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Plant Finishing Process Operations

Job Title

Steel_Pipe PlantTo manage and supervise the finishing operations of seamless stainless steel pipes, ensuring that all processes—from heat treatment to final inspection and dispatch—are executed according to quality, safety, and production standards. The role involves optimizing production efficiency, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and international standards

Principal Accountabilities

Production & Process Control

Supervise and monitor all finishing processes such as heat treatment, pickling & passivation, straightening, cutting, end-facing, hydro testing, marking, and packaging. Ensure pipes meet dimensional and surface quality standards. Review and interpret product drawings and specifications. Optimize production parameters to achieve target productivity and reduce process waste. Quality & InspectionCoordinate with Quality Assurance (QA/QC. for in-process and final inspections (visual, dimensional, NDT.. Ensure compliance with standards like ASTM A312, A213, A269, etc. Support corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities. Maintain proper documentation and records of production and quality data. Equipment & MaintenanceMonitor performance of finishing line equipment (straightening machines, cutting saws, hydro testers, etc... Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance schedules. Report equipment breakdowns and assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Safety & EnvironmentEnsure strict adherence to safety procedures and environmental standards during finishing operations. Conduct safety toolbox talks and promote a culture of safe working practices. Continuous ImprovementParticipate in process improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, etc. Analyze process data to identify areas for productivity or quality improvement. Support automation and digitalization initiatives in finishing operations.
