1. Shot Peening Operation Support

• Assist in setting up and operating shot-peening equipment for stainless-steel tubes.

• Monitor shot flow rate, coverage, intensity, and media size to ensure proper surface treatment.

• Verify that shot-peening parameters comply with engineering specifications and process sheets.

2. Process Monitoring & Control

• Conduct Almen strip testing to confirm correct peening intensity.

• Inspect media quality (size, hardness, contamination levels) and perform regular media classification.

• SAE AMS 2430 / AMS 2432

3. Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Perform dimensional checks, surface roughness measurements, and visual inspection of tubes post-peening.

• Document process deviations and assist with corrective actions.

• Support metallurgical or microstructure evaluations if required.

4. Equipment Maintenance Support

• Assist in routine maintenance and calibration of shot-peening machines, nozzles, hoses, and compressors.

• Report equipment malfunction and participate in troubleshooting activities.

5. Production & Process Documentation

• Prepare daily production reports, process logs, and equipment checklists.

• Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions under guidance.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines for handling media and operating pressurized equipment.

• Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident reporting.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Support process optimization initiatives (e.g., reducing media consumption, improving coverage consistency).

• Assist in implementing lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis).

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve process-related issues.

• Support customer or internal audits by providing production and quality documentation.
