Job Description

Design electrical systems, control panels, and wiring layouts to meet the needs of plant equipment, machinery, and automation systems. Develop electrical schematics, control diagrams, and specifications for new systems and upgrades to existing systems. Select and specify electrical components, motors, and control devices in compliance with industry standards. Oversee and participate in the installation of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring the installation meets the engineering specifications, safety standards, and codes. Commission electrical systems, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and functionality before they are fully integrated into the production line. Monitor the performance of electrical systems and conduct routine inspections to ensure continuous operation and identify areas requiring maintenance or repair. Work with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) to optimize production processes and ensure smooth operation. Implement electrical safety procedures and perform risk assessments to ensure safe operation of equipment and systems. Work closely with mechanical, civil, and process engineers to ensure integration between electrical systems and other plant systems. Maintain accurate records of electrical designs, modifications, maintenance schedules, and performance logs.
