We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Purchase Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement, supplier relationships, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services while supporting production and business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement operations, including sourcing, negotiating, and placing purchase orders
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers; maintain strong vendor relationships
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand material and service requirements
• Maintain supplier and product records in ERP; ensure data accuracy
• Collect and compare quotations; negotiate for best pricing and quality
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing based on trends and production needs
• Ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply issues to avoid production delays
• Evaluate supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery) and prepare periodic reports
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies, and industry standards
• Address non-conforming materials and manage returns with corrective actions
• Attend trade events and industry meets to identify sourcing opportunities
• Support continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency and cost control
• Lead procurement reporting and cost analysis for top management
• Collaborate with accounts to ensure timely invoice processing and budget alignment
• Oversee purchasing staff and align team goals with business objectives

Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and report directly to the MD
• Strong problem-solving skills and cost-conscious mindset
