About The Role

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Center of Excellence in India as a Lead for Application Managed Services (AMS) and IT Operations Support. This position connects technology, people, and process to ensure reliable, compliant, and secure operations across our global pharmaceutical manufacturing network.

What You’ll Do

Lead a diverse team managing all aspects of GxP IT operations, OT networking, and application services. Build frameworks that strengthen reliability, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with global IT, QA, and Operations to keep systems secure, validated, and continuously improving.
  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Establish, guide, and coordinate a team with varied strengths with expertise in GxP IT functions, OT network infrastructure, and application support services.
  • Develop a culture of compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for handling operational and application support issues in the COE.
  • GxP IT Operations
  • Ensure all IT operations and support activities within the COE adhere to GxP, FDA, EMA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the management of incident, problem, and change processes for GxP systems.
  • Drive compliance with data integrity, audit trail, and validation standards.
  • OT Networking & Production Systems
  • Oversee support for OT (Operational Technology) networks and production systems, ensuring robust connectivity and security.
  • Work closely with site IT and engineering teams to uphold uptime and compliance in manufacturing environments.
  • Application Managed Services (AMS)
  • Coordinate the provision of application support, maintenance, and improvements for production and laboratory systems.
  • Coordinate with business collaborators and global IT to align AMS activities with operational priorities.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with corporate IT on infrastructure, security, and network initiatives, bridging the knowledge gap around GxP requirements.
  • Liaise with global and regional IT, business users, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and effective service delivery.

  • Direct AMS and IT support for manufacturing and lab applications.
  • Supervise management of occurrences, issues, and modifications for regulated systems.
  • Partner with site engineering and IT teams to maintain OT network performance and security.
  • Align AMS delivery with business priorities and compliance standards.
  • Mentor and grow a team with varied strengths focused on innovation and learning.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the COE.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10 - 14 years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role supporting pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing environments.
  • Deep understanding of GxP regulations, CSV (Computer System Validation), and data integrity principles.
  • Proven expertise in ITSM, IT operations, and application management services.
  • Hands-on knowledge of OT networking, production systems, and manufacturing IT.
  • Strong people management, communication, and collaborator engagement skills.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization is highly desirable.
