Role Summary:

Sr DevOps SRE Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure components such as EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, Lambda functions, etc., ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement and manage Observability (monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions) using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc., to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
• Perform regular performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization of AWS resources to ensure efficient usage and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct security assessments, implement best practices, and maintain compliance with security standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, etc., for AWS environments.
• Respond to and resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during off-hours as needed to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role with hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure in alignment with ITIL practices.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and products, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.
• Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA Service Management, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• ITIL Foundation certification or higher (e.g., ITIL Practitioner, ITIL Intermediate) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

·     Experience with incident management and support in production and non-production environments.

·     Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and OpsGenie.

Key Initiatives:

·     Disaster recovery failover and failback.

·     Multi-tenant shared infrastructure management in production.

·     RDS Database optimization.

·     Cloud security for containers and legacy infrastructure decommissioning.
