This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage and optimize a multi-tenant shared production infrastructure, drive cost-efficiency, and ensure seamless deployment processes. The individual will also lead efforts in implementing robust disaster recovery strategies, cloud security, and production support for critical applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure components such as EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, Lambda functions, etc., ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Implement and manage Observability (monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions) using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc., to proactively identify and resolve issues. Collaborate with development teams to automate deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc. Perform regular performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization of AWS resources to ensure efficient usage and cost-effectiveness. Conduct security assessments, implement best practices, and maintain compliance with security standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, etc., for AWS environments. Respond to and resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and improve system reliability. Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during off-hours as needed to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems. Required Qualifications: Proven experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure. 3+ years experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role with hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure in alignment with ITIL practices. Strong knowledge of AWS services and products, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc. Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA Service Management, or similar. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. ITIL Foundation certification or higher (e.g., ITIL Practitioner, ITIL Intermediate) is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with incident management and support in production and non-production environments. · Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and OpsGenie.
