Sr. Analyst - Vendor Management

Job Description

Position Summary

The VMO Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Vendor Management Office within the Digital organization. This position will provide effective governance, performance monitoring, and compliance of IT vendors, aligning with organizational standards and objectives. The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders, IT Procurement, and external vendors to drive operational excellence and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Governance & Compliance: Support the implementation of vendor governance frameworks, policies, and processes. Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report vendor performance metrics, including SLA compliance and KPIs. Prepare dashboards and reports for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify and escalate vendor-related risks, ensuring mitigation plans are in place. Assist in periodic vendor risk assessments and audits.
  • Contract & Financial Oversight: Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals and amendments. Monitor vendor spend and assist in cost optimization initiatives.
  • Collaboration with IT Procurement: Work closely with IT Procurement to ensure alignment on vendor selection, onboarding, and contract negotiations. Provide vendor performance insights to Procurement for sourcing decisions. Assist in maintaining accurate vendor records and compliance documentation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery. Facilitate vendor meetings and document action items.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 4–6 years of experience in vendor management, IT governance, or procurement within an IT organization.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of IT vendor contracts, SLAs, and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks
  • Experience working in global IT environments

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Vendor Performance Compliance: % of vendors meeting SLA and KPI targets.
  • Timeliness of Reporting: Accuracy and on-time delivery of monthly/quarterly vendor performance reports.
  • Risk Management Effectiveness: Number of vendor risks identified and mitigated within defined timelines.
  • Cost Optimization: Savings achieved through vendor negotiations or process improvements.
  • Contract Governance: % of contracts reviewed and renewed on time without lapses.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback scores from internal teams on vendor management support.
  • Procurement Collaboration: Timely and accurate support provided to IT Procurement during sourcing and contract processes.
