Specialist – Payroll & Benefits


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end U.S. payroll using payroll and ERP systems, with a strong focus on payroll accounting.
  • Perform post-payroll activities including reconciliation, payment processing, and coordination with Finance for month-end close.
  • Ensure accurate data management, record-keeping, and reporting in line with compliance requirements.
  • Prepare journal entries in ERP systems related to payroll and benefits transactions.
  • Conduct payroll P&L reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Handle U.S. benefits enrollment and manage ongoing benefits program (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.).
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure proper benefits integration.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations, including federal and state labor laws, wage and hour laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Validate invoices, generate payment advice for international contractors and consultants, post payment journal entries, and prepare reconciliations and reports.
  • Liaison with payroll and compliance service provider in India, resolve employee queries related to India payroll, benefits and compliance.
  • Employee compensation data management and related documentation from onboarding to exit.
  • Liaison with service providers and vendors for India benefits program and labor compliance.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders in all matters related to payroll and benefits.
  • Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee timecard approval and validation processes to ensure accurate tracking of working hours.
  • Create and manage MIS reports to provide payroll insights and support decision-making.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field; a background in Accounting, HR, or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Minimum 6 or more years of work experience in U.S. payroll processing and payroll accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
  • 4 plus years of work experience in handling U.S. benefits programs and related compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
