Job Title: Software Test Engineer / QA Tester – Manual (75%) & Automation (25%) Experience: 1-2 years Location: Marol, Mumbai (In Office) About India on Track: India on Track (IOT) has been set up to inculcate a culture of sport amongst the youth and create a platform to learn and participate in various disciplines. To support this, IOT partners with top international sporting entities (like NBA Basketball Schools & LaLiga Football Schools) to bring world-class sports thinking and philosophy to India. IOT runs 120+ centres across 13 cities, with over 110 coaches training more than 25,000 kids. We also operate residential international development programs in Portugal and Spain and are rapidly expanding. Role Overview: India On Track is seeking a meticulous and proactive QA Tester (Manual & Automation) to ensure the quality and functionality of our digital platforms and technology products. The QA Tester will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, ensuring usability, and contributing to the overall product improvement cycle with a heavy focus on manual testing. The role will also involve light automation scripting, especially for repetitive regression tasks, and performance validation, aiding faster release cycles for our customer-facing and internal applications. Responsibilities: Manual Testing (Primary – 75%) Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and scenarios for web and mobile applications. Perform functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing across IOT’s digital platforms. Identify, log, and track bugs or inconsistencies, working closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues. Conduct UI/UX reviews to ensure alignment with specifications. Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing. Automation Testing (Secondary – 25%) Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or similar frameworks. Set up test suites for basic smoke and regression testing. Assist in integrating test cases with CI/CD pipelines. Contribute to the creation of reusable test data and test environments. Test Documentation & Collaboration Write and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, bug reports, and user guides. Collaborate closely with product, development, and design teams to understand requirements and translate them into test strategies. Provide QA sign-off for features/releases after testing completion. Performance & Security Awareness Conduct basic performance testing of applications and APIs. Work with the development team to suggest improvements in app speed and responsiveness. Flag any potential security or compliance concerns identified during testing. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, with some exposure to automation frameworks. Experience testing web and mobile applications. Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and bug lifecycle. Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira or similar. Basic working knowledge of Selenium, Appium Postman, or any automation and API testing tools. Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bonus Skills: Experience working in the sports/fitness/ed-tech domain.
