About the Role: We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Social Media Manager to oversee our social media presence and drive engagement for government projects in Delhi. You will be responsible for developing and executing impactful social media strategies across various platforms. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Ownership (social media & Government Initiatives): Lead social media brand channels and strategy across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and others, with a particular emphasis on amplifying awareness and engagement around Indian government projects and initiatives. Manage campaigns from concept to post-implementation analysis. Collaborative Campaign Development (Global, Local & Government): Work closely with global teams, local marketing teams, and relevant government agencies/departments to create impactful and locally relevant social media campaigns that generate high buzz, especially those promoting or supporting government-led programs. Brand Voice & Consistency: Continuously refine and uphold brand personality and social tone of voice to maintain relevance with clients, audiences, and align with communication guidelines for government-related content. Ensure consistent brand positioning and tone of voice across all platforms. Cultural & Governmental Relevance: Utilize local and cultural moments, alongside key government announcements and initiatives, to make the brand resonate with Indian audiences and build trust in relation to public projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain close relationships with cross-functional teams and liaise effectively with government communication teams to maximize the impact of social media efforts, ensuring communication alignment across all channels, particularly for government-centric messaging. Customer & Citizen Engagement: Innovate and find new ways to engage clients, audiences, and citizens via social media channels to drive awareness, conversation, and affinity for the brand, with a specific focus on encouraging participation and understanding of government projects. Performance Analysis (Social & Government Impact): Analyze and report on social channel and campaign performance to measure effectiveness and generate scalable insights, specifically tracking the impact and reach of content related to Indian government projects. Global Collaboration: Work with international product and marketing teams to develop automated and scalable solutions for enhancing social media engagement. This role provides ample opportunities to share insights and learn from global social media teams, while also bringing best practices to the promotion of government initiatives. Campaign Planning (Content & Media for Government Focus): Collaborate with content partners, media agencies, and potentially government-empanelled agencies to plan and execute impactful campaigns, especially those highlighting public sector achievements or opportunities. Strategic Experimentation: Establish an experimentation calendar to consistently test hypotheses and develop a robust editorial strategy, including dedicated efforts to optimize the reach and engagement of content related to government projects. Platform Innovation: Work with platform partners to ensure adoption of the latest product features and best practices, specifically exploring how these can be leveraged to effectively communicate about Indian government initiatives. Expansion on Emerging & India-Specific Platforms: Expand brand presence on emerging and India-specific social platforms, prioritizing those that offer significant reach and engagement opportunities for government-related messaging and citizen outreach. Client & Stakeholder Requirements Understanding: Understand client requirements related to the type, size, and format of graphics on different social media platforms, ensuring that content is optimized for maximum impact and engagement across various channels, with a heightened awareness of governmental communication protocols and requirements for public-facing information. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a public sector or large organizational setting. Proven track record of building and growing social media communities. Expertise in managing various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools.
