Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for a Social Media and Website Coordinator. The coordinator will be responsible for managing the University's social media platforms, creating and curating engaging content, directing social media marketing campaigns, and maintaining regular updates on the University’s website. Duties also include monitoring online analytics, improving website performance, and ensuring that online communication aligns with the University's branding and mission.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated social media and Website Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging content strategies for our social media platforms and ensuring our website content is up to date, relevant, and optimized. You will work closely with the marketing team to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic while maintaining a consistent voice across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand visibility, engagement, and community growth across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Create and schedule daily/weekly social media posts, ensuring content is engaging, on-brand, and timely.
  • Monitor social media trends, campaigns, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms promptly and professionally.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media campaigns, using insights to optimize future content.
  • Collaborate with influencers, partners, and customers to enhance brand reach and authenticity.

Website Coordination:

  • Update and maintain website content, including blog posts, product descriptions, landing pages, and multimedia assets.
  • Work closely with the design and development teams to ensure website design, functionality, and content meet user needs and align with the brand's vision.
  • Ensure all content is SEO-optimized and follows best practices for web accessibility.
  • Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Conduct regular audits of the website to ensure all links, images, and information are up to date and functioning correctly.
  • Assist with website updates during product launches, campaigns, or events.

Content Creation & Strategy:

  • Develop content calendars for both social media and website updates, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall marketing strategy.
  • Create and edit visual content (graphics, videos, infographics) using design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or similar.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., design, product, PR) to create and curate content that supports key marketing objectives.
  • Help develop creative campaigns to drive engagement, generate leads, and promote brand initiatives.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics for both social media and website traffic (using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar).
  • Provide regular reports to management on the effectiveness of social media campaigns and website performance.
  • Use data to recommend improvements and adjustments to strategies for better results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3 to 4  years of experience in social media management, website content coordination, or digital marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and website analytics tools.
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Sprout Social) and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Proficient in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for content creation and editing.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or basic web development concepts.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
  • Photography and/or video editing skills.
