Entity: Marsh Job Title: Senior Specialist, Claims Advocacy As a part of the Claims Advocacy team in Knowledge Services function of Marsh McLennan Global Services (MMGS), the colleague would support our Claims Advocacy stakeholders in the US region. The role will be based in MMGS’ Mumbai office at Hiranandani, Powai. Our Claims Advocates support clients in a unique capacity while remaining focused on carrier/TPA limitations and concerns. An opportunity to work with one of the most dynamic claims teams, providing expert claims advocacy to clients and internal stakeholders A widespread and interesting role that will see you working with carriers/TPA and experts on complex insurance programmes and claim settlements of losses. Partner/Collaborate with Claims Advocacy team on claims cases and ensure all the process and document related support are extended for a hassle-free claim resolution. Facilitate claims process for clients to ensure progress from notification through to closure. Monitor insurer response and engage with insurers and their professional advisers to support smooth review of claims for clients. What is in it for you? We will count on you to: Proactively review all claims (new and old) and establish a plan of action to achieve a favourable claims resolution. Obtain and compile requested loss run data. Analyse data to identify trends and actionable insights. Gather claim-specific details, including claim numbers, adjuster information, and claim statuses. Provide up-to-date status reports on claims. Acknowledge and report on excess claims as necessary. Conduct research on relevant topics and present findings. Prepare executive summary reports for claim reviews. Facilitate the closure of open liability claims in mClaim. Create and maintain a defence attorney reference database, categorized by jurisdiction. Analyse data lakes to generate insights and KPI reports for performance monitoring. What you need to have: 2-4 years of experience in the General Insurance domain across different types of claims, claims lifecycle and claim data Graduate or master’s in commerce or business administration or any equivalent education programme in Insurance domain. MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong Excel proficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills - excellent email writing skills. Must be comfortable with working on new age data management tools What makes you stand out? Strong persistence and follow-up skills. Knowledge and experience of resolving complex claims across a variety of relevant business lines Proficient in data analytics tools, with a strong ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
