Role Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer, Voice in the Product Engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions in the contact center and voice technology domain. You will gather product requirements from Product Management and turn them into working software that satisfies market needs. You will develop, revise, and maintain software artifacts and product engineering processes/methodologies to meet functional, scale, and performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovative Software Development:

  Utilize cutting-edge software development tools to drive innovation, efficiency, and quality in the development of call engines and related components like Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), and Voice Quality systems.

• Problem Solving and UX Delivery:

  Address challenging problems to deliver impactful UX solutions quickly, efficiently, and with high quality.

• Scalable Systems Architecture:

  Contribute to the evolution of systems architecture, ensuring scalability with growing business demands.

• Collaborative Cross-Functional Work:

  Share knowledge and communicate effectively across the organization to align feature development with business objectives.

• Problem Identification and Resolution:

  Analyze, identify, and resolve problems or bugs to ensure a seamless and error-free user interface.

• Active Participation in Agile Processes:

  Engage actively in Agile team meetings, contributing to iterative development processes and adhering to best practices.

Skills / Expertise Required:

• Solid understanding of contact center technologies including voice and IVR.
• Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and customer focus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced programming skills with willingness to learn new technologies across the stack.

Front-End:

• Familiarity with JavaScript; preferably React experience.
• Experience using GraphQL with React for modern stack development.
• Knowledge of Telephony User Interface (TUI).
• Familiarity with Webpack and front-end packaging.
• Experience with form management tools such as React-final-form.

Back-End:

• Experience in building scalable applications using microservice architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft’s .NET framework, including C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core.
• Experience with C++ or Rust and interoperability between different languages.
• Experience with Linux and virtualization.
• Database development and ORM tools like Entity Framework or Dapper; MSSQL preferred.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, parallelism, and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with VoIP protocols such as SIP & RTP and networking protocols such as TCP & UDP.
• Familiarity with low-level programming from kernel to network space.

Deployment / Cloud:

• Experience with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for defining and provisioning cloud infrastructure through code.
• Experience with AWS services such as Fargate, Kubernetes, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Elastic Beanstalk.
• Skilled in working with CI/CD pipelines using Buildkite, CircleCI, and Jenkins.
