About Team
International Technology team enables our stores and eCommerce operations across the world. The platforms that we build are used in most of the markets where Walmart has its presence (outside US). Customer Engagement group of International Technology focuses on platforms responsible for getting new customers, re-engaging existing customers and serving contextual Advertisements on & off Walmart digital properties.
What You Will Do
- Design, development, implementation and documentation for product features.
- Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Engage with Product Management to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
- Work closely with the Architects and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.
Your Qualifications
- B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable applications and platform development.
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
- Having proficiency in at least a couple of language like Java, Scala, Golang etc.
- Hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java/NodeJS(SpringBoot, Dropwizard or equivalent framework).
- Good knowledge in messaging systems: Kafka/RabbitMQ.
- Good knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Microservice
- Architecture and related stacks (Service Registry, ELK/Splunk, Microservices, VMs, etc.) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Knowledge on Azure Cloud Platform will be an advantage.
- Work exposure on agile methodologies and DevOps would be added advantage.
- CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for development and design of features.
- Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
- Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
- Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
- Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
