Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer specializing in cloud deployment and infrastructure validation for enterprise-scale applications. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of deployments across Azure and AWS cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible, combined with a strong foundation in QA methodologies for cloud-native and microservices-based applications. The engineer will play a vital role in testing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) configurations, validating CI/CD workflows, and ensuring production-ready cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Validate and test cloud-based deployments across Azure and AWS environments.
Collaborate with DevOps and Platform teams to ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts (Terraform, Ansible) are tested for accuracy, compliance, and stability.
Design and execute functional, integration, and performance testing in microservices-based environments.
Validate Kubernetes clusters, deployments, services, networking, and scaling configurations.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline testing to ensure reliability in deployment, rollback, and version control.
Conduct infrastructure reliability testing, including failover, load, and scaling validation.
Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools, and integrate into automated test pipelines.
Conduct security and compliance validation, ensuring adherence to cloud best practices for identity, secrets, and resource policies.
Develop automation scripts for infrastructure and deployment validation using Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure environment consistency, observability, and release readiness.
Document test cases, validation steps, and results in detail for reproducibility and traceability.

Required Education/Experience:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Experience & Skills:

5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2 years focused on cloud infrastructure testing.
Proficiency in Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, ingress, helm), Good to have OpenShift exposure.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and IaC validation workflows.
Strong understanding of Azure and AWS architectures, networking, and resource configurations.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
Experience with microservices testing, Docker, and container orchestration.
Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM policies, and compliance validation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cloud certifications: AWS Certified SysOps/DevOps Engineer or Microsoft Azure Administrator/DevOps Engineer.
Experience with infrastructure testing frameworks such as Terratest or Molecule.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, K6) and API mocking frameworks.
Knowledge of GitOps workflows and automated environment validation.
