Role Description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery of STP/ETP/WTP plants, including planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, documentation and client handover. The role demands strong leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring cost-effective execution and maintaining strong client relationships.

1. Lead the planning, execution and successful completion of STP/ETP projects including supply, fabrication, erection and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment.
2. Develop project schedules, allocate resources and assign responsibilities to engineers, supervisors, technicians and contract staff.
3. Ensure execution within approved budgets, control wastage of materials and manpower, and drive cost optimization.
4. Monitor project progress through daily/weekly reporting and present updates to top management.
5. Oversee installation and commissioning of pumps, mechanical equipment, instrumentation, chemical systems and utilities.
6. Maintain complete documentation — materials received, approvals, drawings, handover files, billing support documents etc.
7. Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with timelines in coordination with Project Head/HO.
8. Lead and attend techno-commercial meetings with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
9. Ensure structured handover process with proper sign-offs and client acceptance.
10. Track billing, follow up on payments and support commercial closure of projects.
11. Drive issue resolution, handle escalations and ensure high client satisfaction on all allocated projects.
12. Provide technical guidance to site teams and support cross-functional alignment with Procurement/Design/O&M.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum

  10-15 years

  experience in Project Management in Water/Wastewater (STP/ETP/WTP) Industry.
•  

  Education:

  B.Tech/M.Tech in Relevant Field
• Proven experience in end-to-end execution of EPC projects.
• Strong client-facing ability with experience in handling execution-phase negotiations & meetings.
• Technical understanding of water treatment processes, equipment, instrumentation and site safety norms.
• Strong leadership experience in managing manpower, contractors and timelines.
• Proficient in project documentation, MIS reporting and billing coordination.
• Open to frequent travel to project sites.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
