Senior Production Manager

We're looking for a Senior Production Manager who can bring calm to chaos, structure to scale, and beauty to the back-end. Someone who knows that the best garments don’t just come from great ideas — but from great systems.

If you're someone who thrives in the hum of sourcing conversations, production schedules, and last-minute QC calls, we’d love to meet you.

• Own the entire production lifecycle

  — from fabric sourcing to final delivery — across multiple vendors and contract manufacturers.

• Source fabrics

  from trusted mills and suppliers, ensuring purity, consistency, and timely availability.

• Plan inventory

  based on design pipeline, demand patterns, and production constraints — balancing ambition with availability.

• Manage contract manufacturing partners

  across geographies, ensuring quality and timelines are met without compromising on the Surma standard.

• Implement and oversee QC processes

  at the manufacturing stage, so what reaches the warehouse is already a Surma-approved piece.

• Create and refine SOPs

  that bring consistency and scalability to production and vendor management.

• Collaborate cross-functionally

  with design, merchandising, and warehouse teams to align on drops, launches, and restocks.

• Have

  5–8 years of experience

  in fashion production, especially in managing Indianwear or contemporary womenswear.
• Understand the

  rhythm of fabric markets

  , the reality of contract manufacturing, and the beauty of an on-time delivery.
• Can juggle multiple vendors, timelines, and urgencies — and still bring calm and clarity to your team.
• Know your way around

  fabric specs, tech packs, sampling timelines

  , and can spot a QC issue from a mile away.
• Are structured, proactive, and solution-oriented — you plan ahead but act fast when needed.
• Are excited to build a backend that supports design, scale, and storytelling — all at once.

• Experience working with

  fabrics like cotton, mul, handwoven, or linen

• Familiarity with

  production tracking tools or Excel-based planning sheets

• Comfort in working with

  small but nimble teams

  that are growing fast
