About The Role
- Senior Product Program Manager is a Senior people leader focused on front-line management, team growth, coaching and over-all team success.
- Elevate the team’s product management and product ownership capabilities by leveraging deep Product Management and Product Ownership process expertise, coaching and ongoing leadership. Mentor and help the product team become more efficient, effective, and excellent in the discipline of product management 
-  Ensure that each team member has a strategy and a plan for their professional growth and provide ongoing support in the execution of that plan. 
-  Owns individual and team performance management, culture, and equity. 
-  Excellent communicator and meeting facilitator at all levels of the organization
- Lead by influence and example the Product Program Managers in developing best practice and continuous improvement
 
As the Senior Product Program Manager you’re responsible for executing the roadmap of your product line in Partnership with the Directors of Product Management and other leadership. You will lead cross functional teams through influence and expertise and bring compelling, viable solutions to market. You will manage a team of product managers and product owners who align to a Product Segment and are responsible for working with a Product Segment Leader to define the roadmap strategy and execute the roadmap.
- Establish practices that help Sonatype to cultivate product and market expertise, developing personal expertise in the needs and expectations of our existing and potential customers. 
-  Responsible for the ongoing success of the product line. Supports the definition and leadership of Go-to-Market activities. Support measures and reacts to in-market product performance feedback 
-  Ensures a high quality product that meets the requirements of both internal and external stakeholders
- Contributes to investment and prioritization decisions and plans. Properly balances product maintenance, strategic initiatives, innovation, and other aspects of the product lifecycle while driving the capacity and demand planning of the team
- Assist with the development and execution of launch activities both internally and externally
- Project management execution and tasking via leadership by authority and leadership via influence to drive the committed deliveries of Well Formed Teams
- Metrics driven leader responsible for both the capture and reporting of key Metrics/KPIs on team and product performance to Executive leadership and throughout the organization
- Oversee and ensure the execution of the Software Development and Product Development Lifecycle from inception through to launch with a continuous improvement mindset
- Work with other Program Managers to own the Product Portfolio Management function for Sonatype which includes managing cross-portfolio prioritization, releases coordination, capacity, demand, and P&T Service Fulfillment Metrics
- Work with other Program Managers, product operations, and Technology Agile Coaching to own cross-functional SDLC and PDLC process definition and process improvement efforts which includes functional oversight of the SPICE (Sonatype Process Improvement Center of Excellence) team

- Experience: 6+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or related roles within software development.

-  Self-Starter Attitude: A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and seek out opportunities for improvement.
